There are five phases of CWEE’s programs and services which are divided into three categories: Preparing for Employment, Finding Employment and Keeping Employment. All programs and services are tailored to an individual participant’s skills, needs and interests.
New CWEE participant orientation is every Thursday. CWEE’s ongoing, on-site programs are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays with the intention that after ten weeks job candidates are engaged in a full-time job search.
Beyond our innovative skills training program, CWEE is unique because on-site case managers assist participants in managing the rigors of government assistance (TANF, food stamps, Medicaid, child care assistance, and child welfare), as well as help participants to overcome barriers to employment and provide referrals to other community resources.
There are two phases in Preparing for Employment. During this portion of the program each participant is assigned a case manager who tailors training to that participant’s needs, rather than operating a one-size-fits-all program.
CWEE's Employment Services Department helps participants acquire the skills and competencies needed to be successful in the workplace.
Once employed, participants receive on-going support for up to two years after graduating from CWEE.
CWEE's on-site clothing boutique provides participants with business casual and business professional clothing and accessories.
Participants referred through Denver, Arapahoe, and Adams counties, must be receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) to be eligible for services.
