employer participation

There are a variety of ways employers can engage with CWEE and its participants.

1. Attend our ROI Networking Event

CWEE holds off-site networking events quarterly. These events aim to connect employers with open positions to our job-seekers. Our job-seekers learn the fundamentals of networking and promoting their best selves at these events. Even if your organization does not have job openings, it is helpful to have employers attend to help our job seekers practice their skills.

2. Host a tour for participants at your company

The Employment Services department schedule tours of employment sites to give our job-seekers a new appreciation and information about a specific industry and organization.

3. Assist participants in informational interviews

An informational interview can help job-seeker find a career or industry they may be interested in exploring or pursuing. Often times this is a great way to assist participants looking to change careers or industries.

4. Volunteer to be a mock interviewer

Part of the preparation our participants receive prior to job searching is a class on interviewing skills, followed by a mock interview. Mock Interviewers conduct the interview and then are given the opportunity to provide immediate feedback to participants after the interview while also providing written feedback.

5. Become a guest speaker about your industry or organization

Share your experience and knowledge with our participants. CWEE appreciates guest speakers who hold discussions about their job or industry experience and knowledge. We also value hearing about your organization.

6. List a current job opening with us

Our Employment Services department is happy to post or promote current job openings within your organization at no cost to your organization.

7. Host a hiring event

If your organization has multiple job openings and your organization wishes to hold a hiring event, CWEE staff can facilitate this event with our qualified job-seekers at our site.
